Ahh March. I want to like you, but honestly, I’m usually just holding my breath until we get to April, or even May, or even June. Plus, you’re a bit of a tease. But then again, who am I to talk? But really, I am simply not cut out for cold weather, especially when little glimpses of Spring are dangling in front of me. You’re simply just too cold for me. So, I’ll wear green on the 17th and smile, but I’ve already made it through frigid January and February, so really I just want you to be over asap. The end.

I’m already “over” this winter weather. I’m frozen! January and February seem to drag. What can I say? I’m a spring and summer kind of girl. I am excited about Valentine’s Day though. My favorite holiday. It’s the only thing getting me through the last couple months of frigid weather. :)

Dicken's Village at Night
Creative Commons License photo credit: kevindooley These little Christmas villages are precious. My mother collected these as I grew up and added to it each year. Now we have a miniature Christmas world sprawling underneath our living room tree each year. The grand kids will sit down with their hands in their chins and look at it for hours. Ok, well maybe minutes. :)

Mountain lodges are great places to get away whether it be for relaxation or for rehab (one of the best ways to truly detoxify your body). Rustic getaways can also provide healing detox for your soul. There’s just something about the mountains and fresh, open air that helps relieve your mind of all the clutter and stress of everyday life. There’s also nothing quite like an exhilarating ride down a sledding hill or an exciting ski run.
